About... the Final Days, and the summoning of Zodiark. The Sundering. Some of my own memories provided clues, too. But they are still rather secretive, and...

Thank you. It means rather more to me than you might think. I seem to be the only one of us who lacks his memories, and the journey to recover them has not been the easiest one. And that they would leave me in the dark on top of that... I've had moments when I was quite frustrated.

But, ah, it's not about my grievances. I... did want to ask how you came to have that body you arrived in. Lahabrea has told me some things about shedding one's physical form...

For much of our long work, we dwelt in the aetherial rift with no bodies of our own. However, it sometimes became necessary to... borrow one in order to interact with the physical world. Lahabrea and Emet-Selch would usually take ones that were still living, while I preferred to utilise the dead. The vessel I was in before was one such corpse.

You... said the body was a corpse. I've met the man it belonged to. He was here on WILD CITY briefly, and... from what I understood, he and Emet-Selch in particular had been enemies. When you first arrived, too, Ha--Emet-Selch bade me to try and take care of you, because it is rather more awkward for him, given that in his words him and you - that is, Ardbert... - spent most of their time trying to kill one another.

[Levity absolutely has like, a cork board with lots of notes and conspiracy theories about whatever the hell was happening with the Ascians, based on what little he's managed to get out of them.]

Ardbert was a Warrior of Light of the First, one chosen by Hydaelyn. He and his were indeed opposed to our goals, as is often the case with those of his kind.

Why Emet-Selch seems to hold such complex feelings regarding him is a mystery to me. In my recollection, the two of them never actually met while Ardbert was still alive.

It is an extremely sound one. Safer and more expedient by far than the method we have relied on in the past. I would have made the same choice on my own had I arrived here before them.

Yes, it does seem quite good, doesn't it? Although I will admit I have my reservations regarding the price we pay for those wishes. The masters of this place are very capricious. I wish to return home as much as all of us, but I would still prefer not to rely on the wishes as our only way out, not unless we know in detail how they work and what they may cost us.

The Producers may be powerful, but I highly doubt they can oppose Lord Zodiark at His full might. Once He has been restored, we will have nothing to fear.
