Our circumstances are perhaps... a little more complicated than is good for any of us. Not through ill will on any side, simply... a complicated situation for us all. Or maybe simply for me.

Ah... it is not a matter of memories, alas. It's as you've said - the things you had to do have changed you. To a greater extent in some ways, to a lesser one in others. There is much I remember about him, but even as Emet-Selch himself puts it... he is not the man I knew back then. And I suppose I am not 'Hythlodaeus' as he was before.
