Less a manipulation tactic, perhaps, and more some strange misdirection. And when the truth came out, I would likely have called you a fool a lot more than I already have.

[Lifts his head to give Emet a quick kiss, though, just to show that he's (mostly) teasing.]

[He huffs which is really more a soft sound at the kiss as he wraps tentacles loosely around his limbs.]

[He closes his eyes almost appearing as if to settle in before he opens them and sits up tugging Hythlodeaus along with him.]

I suppose I should offer you one 'service' in exchange for being my pillow. Could you turn around?

Perish the thought.

[Scooting behind him, he brushes his fingers down the sides of his neck before he gathers his hair. From somewhere in the apron of his maid outfit he digs out a comb and begins to braid it. The actions are soft and it just as much a scalp massage as it is salon treatment, but in the end he does produce a certain familiar side-braid style.]

[He hums softly as Emet braids his hair; it's surprisingly pleasant and relaxing, and he almost finds himself dozing off. Seeing the end result brings another smile to his face and he gently runs his fingers over the braid, then turns to face Emet.]

... You are terribly sentimental.

[He certainly likes it, though, because he leans in to give Emet a soft kiss.]

[Tangling their legs and tossing the blanket over them. Skirts and things probably make this less comfortable, but he doesn't seem to mind.]

I suppose I will simply have to braid it again. Or a third time if necessary.

[Snuggling up to Emet and closing his eyes contentedly, just breathing in his scent and feeling the warmth of his body. This is nice, actually.]
