...A lot of my lovers are human, however... I do find myself a little worried how things might go. Then again, there is no guarantee that these relationships will persist until the day we return.

Mm. That is.. indeed a concern. But it is better to focus on the happiness you have with them now. The future will come whether you worry or not.

If by the time you leave there are those you cannot part from, you can address it then. To take them home with us or seek a way to their world.

If I were to go to someone else's world with them... Would it be possible for me to return to ours still? I would outlive them all, after all. Sooner or later, I would need to go home.

A reliable means to traverse between worlds is something we are attempting to master. But it is not yet finished. I have full faith we will unlock the secrets to it, but for now it is certainly something to consider carefully.

Alexander and I are able to traverse between worlds but our methods cannot be used by others, even you.

It requires forsaking your flesh. While living on as an untethered soul is quite within your power, I do not think you should pursue the experience. Especially when other means can be found.

Forsaking your body is not an experience I recommend. Not for any reason. It is not exactly reversible.

Moreover very few have the gift enough to see what is not physical. To interact with the material world you would need a body to possess. You could learn to take over corpses, I suppose, but that comes with its own unpleasantness.

Better to work on a viable method.

I... Yes, I would prefer to avoid that. But I assume you have ideas when it comes to that viable method?

Several. It is best to work from multiple angles after all.

But if you wish to be of help in that regard, perhaps those you speak to regularly might have such concepts as world and dimensional travel you could probe them on. More knowledge is ever useful.

Time is also a good resource. In truth the matter of distance is less important than the matter of travelling it in a reasonable time.
