Cosmo: I have apologized but I am unsure if my words made an unfortunate impression or were disregarded.

Accomplice: Ah... He mentioned last night that he was going to visit you.
Accomplice: Would you like to speak in person? It might be easier than trying to explain the whole situation to me over text.

Cosmo: If it is not inconvenient.

Accomplice: Of course not. :) I'll come to Baritones. I imagine you would feel awkward visiting our unit right now, given your worries.

[knock knock after a while?]

Cosmo: Thank you.

[Of course he let's him in promptly.]

[Steps in! He looks less sleep-deprived than Elidibus did, but still a little washed out. Also, carrying a very small bag?]

Not at all. Honey sounds perfect.

[He'll stop in the kitchen first to set the kettle on and remove his mask.]

[He halfway follows him to the kitchen, leaning against a wall with his hands behind his back.]

Did you sleep well last night?

I visited a dream of Elidibus's then he woke me to check on Vergil, so not as well as I could have.

And you?

Did something happen to Vergil?

I think I was caught in the same dream of Elidibus's as you. Though I imagine it... must have gone differently for you.

...Of course, Elidibus mentioned you had... forgive me. In my own distress I forgot.

(he's not fine he just learned the lifehack of not thinking about things too hard or at all)]

Oh, I am well enough. But Elidibus was rather shaken by my presence there, and now that you say you argued... I'm more worried about how you two are faring.

[No ancient had been fine for a long ass time but he sighs and starts getting a pot of tea and cups together on a tray.]

Given what I know of that dream I shall worry regardless.

As for myself... I am not a kind man when cornered or upset.

[He pours hot water into the pot and picks up the tray.]

Elidibus is sturdy, but we each have our weak points. Most especially with each other. I worry that he may have taken something said in cruelty to heart. And yet I suspect he would never reveal to me if he did.

Ideally he did not, but it is my lot to worry incessantly I suppose.

[He watches the tray curiously - evidently Lahabrea intends for them to speak elsewhere, which... is actually quite a relief. Perhaps Levity could even talk more about the dream if it's in private.

There are other concerns to address first, though, so he'll just focus on those for now.]

I don't know what you said exactly, of course, but... I doubt that he would truly take your words to heart. He is always thinking of you two, and I'm certain that he would take your emotional state into account. But if it worries you, I can try speaking with him to see if he was truly hurt by it.

[He's going to head for the room he shares with Emet and set them up on the comfy couches.]

I would appreciate that. If nothing else perhaps he will confide in you, whether it be hurt or frustration. Certainly I am not the easiest man to work or get along with at times.

[peeks around just to check if Emet is there, for no reason at all, don't mind him]

I shall speak with him, then. But I am still moved to remind you once more that he loves you greatly, even if you might argue at times.

But if you are looking for something a little more specific as a way of making amends... Elidibus wants your respect. Perhaps making some gesture to show you acknowledge him as an equal, that there are things he can guide you on or that you can turn to him for... It might be good for him.

[No reason for looking for his boyfriend!

He was going to serve Levity but that also works. He'll sit back with his own tea.]

Well, he still worries about it. He seems to feel as though he must always do more and more to make sure he is someone you can respect.

Normally I would suggest something more roundabout, but... why not simply say it to him outright? Elidibus values openness. Tell him what you like, what you admire about him. He is rather confused about things like comfort and relaxation, but I believe he would find it easier to understand appreciation.

[He takes a thoughtful sip.]

And for something more concrete... A game of chess, perhaps? Have him as your opponent. That way he is both your equal and potentially someone who can even outdo you. Not someone who has to keep chasing after you, but someone you acknowledge.

[He doesn't know anything current but he did kind of always assume it was a matter of time.

He sips his tea thoughtfully, nodding.]

I am glad to be of help. When I spoke with him last night, he was quite distraught that you and Hades do not share your troubles with him, and that his attempts to comfort you are brushed aside while you fuss over him instead. So I do think being more open - even if it is about being unable to be open - would help reassure him. I suppose all three of you are rather similar when it comes to taking care of others and neglecting yourselves.

We are far too similar in the worst of ways.
