[You are greeted with the sound of randomly disrupted static, at the end of which three melodic beeping signals are heard. Yep, that's your cue to leave a message!]
He blushes slightly at the kiss but also tries not to look too smug over it. Lying down by Emet, stealthily taking his hand to lace their fingers together.]
Well... Here's to hoping it will be a good memory.
[He gets to be exceedingly mushy. He's got eons to make up for after all. And in the end he does rest his head on his shoulder as he finds the memory and hits the 'play' button.
... It's that place again. The one from my memories--your younger self's memories, too.
[He says that in an attempt to--well, maybe distract Hades a little from the more emotional part of the memory. But Hythlodaeus knows what taking memories is like, so he still holds Hades's hand tighter and curls closer to him, as though trying to shield him.]
[Hythlodaeus is right on the mark. His form is shaking, just slightly, from anger and maybe a little shock to the system. He doesn't respond immediately, but closes his eyes and takes a few deep breathes forcing himself to calm. Probably not a technique he had in days of old when he probably would just rant.
And of course having Hythlodaeus curl around him does help tremendously. But he will eventually speak up.]
[He's giving up all pretenses of bashfulness as he tucks himself against him gripping the fabric of his shirt probably a bit too tightly. He takes a deep breathe before continuing.]
We were looking for Fandaniel, but back then he was simply Hermes before he took office. Venat...
[He is just going to skip Venat for now.]
I hard a hard time remembering the faces of Amaurot. By no luck would I remember the faces from a few trips to Elpis I had.
But those memories --- how is it possible to know of them back then?
[Hythlodaeus rubs Emet's back in an attempt to soothe, but stops at the question. It takes him a few moments to rack his own memory, but once he remembers - oh boy. He sits up abruptly, unaccustomedly serious, maybe even a little pale.]
... Elpis. An incident of some kind that tampered with his own memories. Something went wrong with a... device of some sort. In the memory, he was angry at having forcibly forgotten the couple days before that. Do you think that might be connected to why you are only remembering this now?
[His brain obviously makes the connection between the two, but his heart absolutely does not want to believe it. And when the two come into conflict one tends to win out.]
Had I thought any of that to be true, I would have returned straight to the Convocation, worries of the appointment of Fandaniel be damned. Why would I stay in Elpis?
Perhaps there was a believable enough explanation that made you stay... or some other reason. I fear I do not know enough, my friend.
[He pauses, thinking.]
In my own memory, there was someone that Alphinaud told me was the Warrior of Light. Perhaps if they were there in Elpis with us somehow, they are connected with all this, too...
I know them much less than you do, so it is not for me to say. But I think it must all be connected somehow. If only we had anyone else who was present there at the time... but I suppose my memories might reveal something in time, as well.
The collaboration. The push that is uniquely you. I undoubtedly lost my conscience after the myriad of years, but you were as much a guiding hand as you were a mischief maker.
[HUFFS! No, he absolutely doesn't latch onto any indication that Emet needs or wants him, nor does he crave every bit of praise from him. Don't be ridiculous. Hmph.]
[YOU ARE THE WORST. He tries his best to stay calm and succeeds for all of two seconds maybe. He does blush deeply but does not try to take his hands away in the least, instead just frowning and almost pouting in embarrassment.]
Why are you--didn't you just say that you refuse to listen to what I say?

Home movies for all!
Okay, not the best home movie.]

How is that even possible...?
Re: Day 458
[He can tell Hades needs to calm down first, though, so he wraps an arm across his chest as well for good measure.]
Do you recognize the other people in that memory?

He had memories from there. What kind?

Re: Day 458
What if it's not a memory that was taken from you by the Production, but a memory that was taken from you during your life?

Re: Day 458
[His stubborn streak is showing.]
Not that I could even ask. They have departed.
Re: Day 458
I said the same, and was told that it would be not the first time the Warrior has done something that is both impossible and improbable.
Re: Day 458
[Look he doesn't know the specifics.]

Hmm. Is that so? Then that means you have to listen to what I say.
Re: Day 458
[He laughs not offended by the cheek pinching because he believes he is winning.]
Oh? Are you blushing? Just because of that praise.
Re: Day 458
I'm not blushing. Your eyes must be getting bad.
Re: Day 458
If you say so, my dear.
