I hold feelings for you, too, you know. But yes, the three of us spent quite a lot of time together. You two used to get in all amounts of trouble. The reason I sent him your way is that he is a shard of Azem. And while he didn't have his memories of you, his mannerisms were quite similar. I thought he would be a comfort.

And now another version of him has shown up on your unit. He seems a little less sure of himself. Not in lack of conviction, but ... well, it is hard to describe.

I imagine you were going to anyway, but I wanted to ask you to watch out for him. To take care of him. Not that I won't be, but it is much easier for you since you are unit mates.

Of course I'll look after him. Did you know, he picked his position faster than any of us have ever seen - he seemed to grasp the situation very quickly. Usually people spend some time being confused... but he was very quick to act. For a moment I thought he might be an audition, but he does genuinely seem to be missing his memories. That, or he is an even better actor than you and Lahabrea.

Oh, he's an audition. However, his corruption allows him not to speak freely. Not even a punishment, but an actual prevention.

And he might be guarded simply because he woke up without familiar faces. But I am a little surprised at his adaptability.

This particular shard did perish and walked as a ghost on the First for quite some time. I imagine the isolation can be overbearing at times. So if he is feeling rather down, I would care to know.

I really do wish you would be more open with me, Hades. It gets quite tiring to feel like a pawn in your schemes, being the only one who lacks context for what's going on. And it's not even as though I can say no to you, and it makes me feel all the more helpless.

[He has to pause to think about this because he was being as straightforward as this man is capable.]

The complications for us rise from, well, doing our best to kill one another. Even if we understand each other, 'tis still difficult. Luckily, it a path we no longer have to travel, and thus the healing can begin, but it will take time.

Outside of that, have you other questions on my motives? He is undoubtedly lonely considering his circumstances, and past history has shown not only you two to be compatible, but even thrive in each's other company. You can say as little or as much as you want to me about how things are faring. 'Tis your relationship with each other. I'm simply encouraging a start.

But... I will admit that something feels a little off to me. He is different from the man we knew on WILD CITY. You were right to say that he seems less certain of himself, and... in the little time I've spoken with him, there was the feeling I got that he was looking to determine a place for himself. A way to act, perhaps, a... role to fulfill. Seeking a sense of belonging, much as I was at the start. As I still do.

That was why I did not think he was an audition. It's hard to properly quantify and describe, of course, merely a gut feeling. But I do wonder if this version of him did not live through a different past. These things can happen here, don't they?

The one on Wild City did not share my same history. I doubt this one would be the same. This one might simply be wayward in a different manner.

But truthfully, I am less worried about that and more worried about making him comfortable as he can be here. And thus you see why I have turned to you for assistance.
