I wouldn't consider it a bad thing -- I think you would be stubborn, regardless, if you had noticed.

[He moves away slightly with a soft laugh, finally raising his cup to take a sip of his tea.]

Do you remember how you chided me for saying that I love you so soon after our meeting?

Not the details, but that does sound very familiar.

Ohh, I'm hurt! Here I expected you to remember every detail of our every encounter.

[He laughs again, drinking some more of the tea.]

It was during that kissing game, when we ended up going to the love hotel. I insisted that we should dance, and then said that I love you.

That was quite early on, was it not?

Indeed! We'd only known each other for a couple days.

I don't believe I was incorrect in my assessment, then.

Perhaps! But ultimately, neither was I.

You have never doubted in that?

[smiles, putting his head on Absinthe's shoulder]

I have wondered if it was foolish at times. And, obviously, during the worst of our... conflict... well, to tell you the truth, I can't even say how I felt about you during that time. But ultimately, I love and trust you.

[ he reaches up, with a sigh, petting Levity's hair ]

I am glad to hear that. I'm certainly very talented at testing those sorts of bonds.

Both. With you, and Alexander as well.

Really? I'd be curious to hear which parts were on purpose. Mainly in my case, I suppose; I've no idea how private your affairs with Alexander are.

I suppose, when I mentioned my dietary habits to you - - part of me wondered if you would balk.

Well, it is somewhat grisly, but... between Vergil and Hope, I wasn't too shocked. Not to mention that here we are allowed opportunity to hold to those... dietary needs without, er, hurting unwilling people.

I will say I am grateful for your understanding in that regard.

It wasn't as though you chose to have that affliction.

And before you mention it, yes, I do remember that you did not make the... healthiest choices about it at first, let us call it that.
