You were right to say that he seems less certain of himself, and... in the little time I've spoken with him, there was the feeling I got that he was looking to determine a place for himself. A way to act, perhaps, a... role to fulfill. Seeking a sense of belonging, much as I was at the start. As I still do.

That was why I did not think he was an audition. It's hard to properly quantify and describe, of course, merely a gut feeling. But I do wonder if this version of him did not live through a different past. These things can happen here, don't they?
